About allowance event classes

As of SP04, SAP Convergent Charging 4.0 features the allowance event class that defines and describes the type of an allowance event (*) with a set of properties. The allowance event class is similar to the chargeable item class or the refill item class. However, the allowance event class has no default property but only user-defined properties (custom properties).

(*) The allowance event is a technical transactional data record which contains the list of properties (and their associated values) required to use allowances. For more information on the allowance event, refer to the Application Help guide.

Note: The name of the allowance event class determines the type of the allowance event sent by the Allowance Event Sender component (see the example below).

User-defined properties are defined by a Name, a Type (character string, number, or date), and a Description. The Category is not editable and is shown as a reminder.

The allowance event class is used by the Allowance Event Sender component and the Event-Based Trigger component (refer to the Help system relating to logic components from the Core Tool: Click Components on the Help menu of the main window).

An allowance event class is always subsumed under a catalog (prerequisite).

Example
