An aggregation policy defines the rules that are applied to the different properties of a charged item during a charging operation performed in the session-based execution mode. The aggregation policies can merge multiple charged items into a single one, and thus decrease the number of consumption items which are sent to the SAP Convergent Invoicing system.
An aggregation policy consists of:
Aggregation rules that can be applied to one or more properties of the charged item class associated to the aggregation policy
Expiration parameters used to configure the duration of an aggregation period
Before creating and setting up an aggregation policy, you must be familiar with charged item classes because the aggregation rules are related to the properties of these classes.
