External Reference

The External Reference component charges an account outside SAP Convergent Charging®.

Notes:

  • The External Reference component must not be used when the rerating process is activated

  • The External Reference is not included in the Internal Reference Dictionary of a charging plan. You cannot used an External Reference in the charging mapping of a charge included in a subscription.

  • Tax is never calculated when using an external reference. Only the third-party billing system can compute the tax by using:

  • The tax information provided by SAP CC and retrieved from the charges in the subscribed offer

  • The tax information which depends on the account defined in the third-party billing system

  • You cannot use this component if the convergent charging services are based on provider contracts.

Identification area

Name: Type the name of the component (mandatory).

Description: Allows you to type the description of the component (optional).

Definition tab

The name of the external reference is a character string.

External Reference: Type the name of the external reference, or select a string property or a string parameter.
