The scenario window is a workspace where you create, set up, and modify a scenario with the CAT Tool user interface.

This window consists of four parts:
Title bar with scenario path and name
Component toolbar
Scenario tree area
Identification area

This area contains the tree made up of components. The first component in the tree, referred to as the root of the tree, identify the scenario. When you open a new scenario, the scenario tree area already includes this component as shown in the following illustration:

Before adding components to your tree, make sure that you have given a name to your scenario, and then that you have configured the scheduler.
This area contains all the parameters related to a component to set up. For example, the first component (the root of the tree) is your scenario name. The parameters related to this first component correspond to the scheduler.
Every time that you add a component to the tree, the identification area changes and displays the corresponding parameters.
