Once the required files have been installed on your workstation by your administrator, you can launch the BART Tool user interface.
Before you begin, make sure that you have the user name and password given by your administrator. Check that you have the host address of BART Server.

To launch BART Tool
This procedure is valid for a Windows environment.
Using Windows Explorer, open the SAP Convergent Charging folder.
Open the Bin folder and double-click the bart_tool.bat file.
The Connection dialog box appears.
In the Connection dialog box, type your user name in the Login field.
Type your password in the Password field.
If necessary, modify the Server URL field by specifying an IPv4 or IPv6 server address.
Click OK. One of the following windows is displayed:
The list of previously failed login authentication attempts
The window used to change your password
The main window of the application
This window displays a list of all the previously failed login attempts. Each login attempt is displayed with the following information:
The date and time relating to each failed attempt of the user name
The IPv4 or IPv6 address of the computer which is the cause of the failed authentication

Note: This window provides only information about the connected user. |
The administrator can configure BART Server to use a password management policy which can oblige SAP CC users to change their password.
If the password management policy is enabled and if it applies to you, a message is displayed to inform that your password must be changed. A window is then displayed to change this password.
If the password management policy does not apply to you, or if it has been disabled, BART Tool starts and displays the main window.
