Notes on Transporting Communication Channels

When transporting communication channels, note the following:

Specific channel attributes cannot be transported. These include passwords and attributes that only make sense in the context of a certain system landscape.

You must maintain non-transportable attributes manually in the target landscape.

To find out which attributes cannot be transported, open the adapter metadata for the corresponding adapter type. To do this, choose the software component SAP BASIS in the ES Repository. In the http://sap.com/xi/XI/System namespace, choose Adapter Metadata . In the adapter type editor, search for nonTransportable.
