Commodity Code Subscription Configuration

Commodity code subscription configuration guides users through creating, customizing, and enabling a subscription in Configuration Manager to automate commodity code uploads. This setup ensures that Guided Buying receives accurate, up-to-date commodity code values for SOW Bid processes.

Context

This task can be performed by a configuration manager user signed into the Configuration Manager.

Procedure

  1. On the SA page, choose Maintain Subscriptions.

    The Subscription List page opens.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, choose Add.

    The Create/Maintain Subscription dialog box opens.

  3. Under Subscription Information, enter/select the following values:
    1. In the Subscription Name field, enter XXXX_Commodity_Code_Subscription (where XXXX is the respective company code).
    2. In the Company list, choose the respective company code.
    3. In the Type option, choose Upload.
  4. Choose Next.
  5. Under Upload, enter/select the following values:
    1. In the From list, choose XXXX_MDS_Commodity_Code (the end point previously created).
    2. In the To list, choose MDS Custom Pick List Upload.
    3. In the Subscriber list, choose Administrator, Fieldglass.
    4. In the Notification Email field, enter any email addresses for subscription notifications. This is optional.
    5. In the Delivery Time field enter 0, 0, Every, Every, Every (Should Run Daily)
    6. In the Time Zone list, choose the time zone for the subscription to run in.
  6. Choose Next.
  7. Choose Submit.

    The Subscription List page opens.

  8. Select the new subscription.

    The subscription opens on the details page.

  9. On the upper-right side of the page, choose Disable.
  10. Choose Advanced Edit.
  11. Select/enter the following:

  12. Choose Add / Update.
  13. In the Will you ENABLE this subscription? dialog box, choose OK.
