A badge is used to authenticate a user to charge their vehicle.

You can import badges from a .csv file or add them manually in the Manage Badges app.

In this guided tour, you will learn how to manually create a badge.

Open the Manage Badges app.

Choose Create.

Fill in the Authentication ID that corresponds to the RFID tag. If you don't know the Authentication ID, use your badge at the charging station and double-check in the Application Logs app for an Authorize System Command for the charging station. The Authentication ID is visible in the Authorize details.

Click Continue.

Fill in the rest of the form. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. You can use the fields Valid from and Valid to to restrict a badge's validity. If you only enter a date in the Valid from field, the badge is active from that date on. If you only enter a date in the Valid to field, the badge is active until that date. If you leave both fields empty, the badge is active from the current date until you either deactivate it manually or change the Valid to field. If you enter a date in both fields, the badge is active during the period you specified. You can see whether and for how long a badge is active in the Status column in the list of badges.

If you want to optimize the use of dynamic load management, you can choose a vehicle using the Vehicle field. This will help the algorithm distribute the power to charge the vehicle in the most efficient way. The algorithm prioritizes vehicles with a high nominal battery capacity or a low charging speed. For more information, see Dynamic Load Management. If you choose a vehicle, it is also displayed in the Monitor Charging Sessions app.

Tip When you create a badge, a draft is saved as you exit the app. You can return to it at a later point in time to fill in or edit the form.

Choose Create.

You have now successfully created a badge. If you want to make the charging sessions, which will be started using this badge, available for reimbursement, please continue with the guided tour Reimbursing Charging Costs in SAP Concur.
