The Maximum Power represents the maximum charging power for the site area's electric installation. It must not be exceeded. This value limits the power available to the site area's charging stations to avoid overloads.

To continue structuring your assets, create sites related to your activities.

Once you have done so, don't forget to create site areas.

To finish structuring your assets, create site areas related to your activities.

The site areas correspond to your locations and their electrical installation.

Each charging station must be assigned to a site area.

Add charging stations to your site area.

If you add charging stations to the selected site area, they are removed from the site areas to which they were previously assigned. If you haven't onboarded charging stations yet, go back to the home page and browse the guided tours Onboarding Charging Stations and Validating Charging Station Configuration.

SAP E-Mobility's dynamic load management uses an algorithm that constantly adjusts the power delivered to electric vehicles across the site areas.

Note
Make sure that these prerequisites are met before using the feature:
  • Your charging stations support smart charging capabilities.

  • The site area hierarchy is correctly defined in SAP E-Mobility.

  • The electric information for your site areas and their charging stations is correct in SAP E-Mobility.

To benefit from step-by-step guidance on dynamic load management, go back to the home page, and browse the guided tour Dynamically Optimizing Charging.

For more information about dynamic load management, see Dynamic Load Management.

To benefit from SAP E-Mobility's dynamic load management, first define a structure across your site areas by selecting a Parent Site Area.

While doing so, ensure that site areas share a common configuration with their parent site area:
  • All site areas in the same hierarchy are assigned to the same site.

  • Their number of phases and voltage are identical.

  • You've enabled dynamic load management for all site areas.

The system doesn't allow a different configuration between site areas in the same hierarchy, or circular dependencies.
