You use the Manipulation Tools panel to edit and format values in
a column. The panel is available in the Grid and
Facets views.
Some data actions on the Manipulation Tools panel are also accessible
by selecting the
icon in a column name or by right-clicking the column name.
- Perform one of the following actions:

- Open the Manipulation Tools panel to the right of the
Data pane.
Unique column values appear in a Values box at the top of the
panel. You can select one or more values to edit in this box, or enter a search
string in the Find box. Selections in the editor panel
override the value selections made directly in a column. The data actions
available for a column depend on the data type of the column and on whether a
column, cell, or range of characters within a cell is selected.
- Select an editing option on the Manipulation Tools panel, modify the
values as needed, and select Apply.
