Balance Carryforward

Use

The balances for the accounts used in the cash ledger are carried forward into the next fiscal yearusing the standard function in the Easy Access menu under Start of the navigation path Accounting Next navigation step Financial Accounting Next navigation step General Ledger Next navigation step Periodic Processing Next navigation step Closing Next navigation step Carrying Forward Next navigation step Balance Carryforward (New) End of the navigation path as follows:

  • Cash accounts are transferred with all account assignments.

  • All revenue and expense accounts are carried forward to the retained earnings account whereas the additional account assignments are not transferred . The balances on the revenue and expense accounts are summarized on the retained earnings account.
