CGM to VDS Translator

New plug-in for SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author to open CGM files

VDS Collapse export setting in Visual Enterprise Link (New)

An option has been added to the VDS Save Settings window to allow geometry in VDS files to be collapsed, resulting in smaller file size.

Plug-Ins and Formats (Enhanced)

The following plug-ins and formats were updated:

  • AutoCAD file formats: AutoCAD 2017 is now supported.

CAD (Enhanced)

The CAD importers were updated as follows:

  • PMI toolbar: Center Line/Mark filtering (New)

  • CAD format enhancements

  • SolidWorks file format: 2017 support

  • NX file format:

    • NX Initial Views

    • Import Layer option optimized

    • 3D Sheet Metal Callout Labels

  • Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) file format:

    • Added IFCXML support

    • Added import option Create Volumes for Interior and Exterior Spaces to support volumetric geometry creation for both IFC and IFCXML formats

  • STEP file format: Export of AP214 supported
