Timeliness of the Advanced Shipping Notification

Use

The timeliness of the advanced shipping notification (ASN) is a criterion used to evaluate the supplier delivery performance rating.

Features

If the goods dispatch date specified in the ASN matches the actual goods receipt date minus or plus a buffer, the system rates the ASN as on time. You can specify this buffer in the Customizing settings for the Supply Network Collaboration under Start of the navigation pathFunctions for Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Supplier Delivery Performance Rating (SDPR) Next navigation step Define Time Window for Timeliness of ASNin the fieldsDays in the PastandDays in the Future.End of the navigation path

This means that an ASN is on time if the following conditions are fulfilled:

  • The goods dispatch date is earlier or the same as the goods receipt date in the ASN plus your entry in the Days in the Future field.

  • The goods dispatch date is later or the same as the goods receipt date in the ASN minus your entry in the Days in the Past field.

The goods receipt date for the ASN is specified in the field DATI_DOC_RECV.

Example

The goods dispatch date specified in the ASN is 18.05.2005.

You have entered the value 2 in the Days in the Past field and the value 3 in the Days in the Future field.

If the goods dispatch date falls between 16.05.2005 and 21.05.2005, this ASN is on time. The ASN is also on time if the goods dispatch date is 16.05.2005 or 21.05.2005.
