Triggering Subscription Items

For static and versioned notifications, you can use the settings in the Triggering Subscription Items screen area to specify which subscription items are to trigger a notification message.

Settings for Triggering Subscriptions
Field	Description
Only Subscription Items Used in Trigger Condition	The subscription item that is to trigger a notification message due to a value change must be used in the trigger condition of the notification. Note This option cannot be selected for the trigger type `Always`. In addition, the system checks the trigger condition that you define using the expression editor.
Subscription Items Used in Trigger Condition or Output Expressions	The subscription item that is to trigger a notification message due to a value change must be used in the trigger condition or in the output expressions of the notification. In addition, the system checks the trigger condition for the trigger types OnTrue, OnFalse, WhileTrue, and WhileFalse. For trigger type Always, the trigger condition is not checked, even if it is displayed in the Trigger Expression screen area. The subscription items referenced there are not taken into account either when the notification is triggered.
All Subscription Items	For the trigger type Always, each subscription item triggers this notification due to a value change. For the trigger types OnTrue, OnFalse, WhileTrue, and WhileFalse, the system also checks the trigger condition.
