You use this app to create and configure validation rules that the system uses to verify and label incoming measurement data.
For more information, see: Configure Validation Rules.
For more information about the validations in general, see Validations of Measurement Data.
Validation groups allow meter channels to be clustered together. Each validation group contains several validation rules and configurations.
You must enter a unique identifier for each validation group.
It is highly recommended to enter a short description for each validation group. This allows you to easily distinguish one validation group from another.
When creating a new validation group, you must assign a VEE code to it. Once you have done so, you will be able to activate this new validation group.
VEE stands for Validation, Editing and Estimation. In SAP Cloud for Energy, you assign VEE codes to each validation group to ensure that measurement data for all meter channels with this code are validated in the same manner and with the same configuration.
The VEE code that you assign to the validation group must be identical to the VEE code in the meter channel.
For example, 0001 and 01 are not identical VEE codes.
When a new validation group is created, it's disabled by default.
You can activate or disable entire validation groups and you can activate or disable validations within a group.
