For monitoring purposes and to enable the analysis of technical errors or data inconsistencies during the data replication between the SAP Utilities system and SAP Cloud for Energy, the integration component can temporarily store the communication messages.
You can allow the temporary storage of messages by selecting the checkbox. Your settings will take effect with the next data synchronization that is being processed.
We recommend to allow the temporary storage of the messages so that the integration component can monitor the data replication.
More information: Configure Communication App
You can configure the storage duration by entering a maximum of 30 days. Your settings will take effect with the next data synchronization that is being processed. After the specified number of days the messages will be deleted.
SAP Cloud for Energy always stores meters with a time zone. However, for meters that have not yet been installed and that are replicated from the SAP Utilities system to SAP Cloud for Energy, no time zone information is available. In such cases, the default time zone that you define here will be used and stored with the meters.
Choose one of the time zones.
The fallback time zone is "UTC+12".

This configuration parameter enables the ingestion of measurement data for a serial number instead of a meter mRID.
Before you select this checkbox to use the serial number as a unique name for identifying meters in SAP Cloud for Energy, make sure that a serial number can uniquely identify a meter in your SAP Utilities system. The meter master data replication as well as the measurement data ingestion require the serial number to be unique for your tenant.
This setting only affects meter master data that is replicated after this configuration setting has been made.
If this setting should also apply to meter master data that has already been replicated to SAP Cloud for Energy before, you must replicate that meter master data again.
Configuring the outbound communication for the integration scenario Meter Master Data Replication:
Choose the destination to which SAP Cloud for Energy sends the enterprise service to confirm that the meter master data has been received.
For more information, see Configure Communication App.
In an integration scenario where you request meter readings from SAP Cloud for Energy to use as the basis for your business processes in SAP Utilities, you might come across errors in the processing of enterprise services because data is locked in the SAP Utilities system.
If this is frequently the case, you can configure a delay of up to 2000 milliseconds for the sending of the enterprise services.
Configuring the outbound communication for the integration scenario Meter Reading Requests of Measurement Values From Meter Reading Time Series in SAP Cloud for Energy:
Choose the destination to which SAP Cloud for Energy sends the enterprise service to acknowledge the request that a single meter be read and to inform SAP Utilities of any exceptions (meters that do not match the information).
For more information, see Configure Communication App.
