Using the eCATT Statistics Display

Context

You can filter and display the eCATT statistics data that is collected by the relevant reports by using the Web Dynpro application eCATT Statistics Display.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the system with the following URL:
    • English:

      http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ecatt_stats_display?sap-language=EN

    • German

      http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/ecatt_stats_display?sap-language=DE

    The eCATT statistics display appears.

  2. Select the relevant tab for your query:
    • eCATT Object Statistics

    • Execution Overview Test Configurations

    • Execution Overview Test Scripts

  3. Enter the filter criteria required for your query. The filter criteria that can be selected vary according to the query. For example, for execution overviews for test scripts and test configurations, you can only query the time period. The following table shows an overview of all existing filter criteria:

    Option

    Description

    Selection Time Period

Time period from which extracted data is to be displayed

    Query Mode

Selection between the display of the number of eCATT objects or the display of used test drivers in the selected time period.

    Selection Data Series

Option to reduce displayed extractions to one per month or calendar week (CW). The last extraction of the month or calendar week is always displayed. If no extractions take place in a month or calendar week, the display is supplemented with blank entries for that month or calendar week. If All is selected, all data for all extractions within the time period is displayed. There is no additional display by month or calendar week. The remaining selection option only displays data for the first and last extractions within the time period.

    Restrict Selection

The data selected in the query mode can be restricted by package and/or application component. In this case, only eCATT objects or test driver uses for particular packages and/or application components are displayed.

  4. Once you have entered the filter criteria, choose Execute.

Results

Once the search has run, one of the following overviews is displayed, depending on your filter criteria: eCATT Object Statistics, Execution Overview Test Configurations, Execution Overview Test Scripts.

eCATT Object Statistics

In the eCATT object statistics, you get different results depending on whether you have selected Number of eCATT Objects or Frequency of Use of Test Drivers in the filter criteria.

The result for the number of eCATT objects includes the following two areas:

  1. Display of number of objects

  2. Display of increase as an absolute number and as a percentage; you must select two lines from the table in point 1.

  3. Graphical display; if you select two or more lines in the tabular display (point 1), the number of eCATT objects is displayed as a line diagram. You can display the graphical display for one or more eCATT objects.

The following overview shows you the table columns and their meaning.

The result for the frequency of use of test drivers includes the time of extraction and the occurrence of the test driver used. A test driver, for example CLASS, includes any number of test commands. You can use Customizing to determine which commands these are.

Execution Overview Test Configurations

The output table has the following columns:

Column

Description

Start Date/End Date

Time period for which the extraction of data was considered. This means that the number of executions relate to this period.

No. of All Test Starts

Number of all started tests.

Starts of Different Test Config.

Number of started, different test configurations.

Starts of Different Test Config. Variants

Number of started, different test configuration variants.

Ratio Starts TC Var. /TC

Number of started, different test configuration variants/number of started, different test configurations.

In the graphical display, you can display the progress of the values of test configuration executions as a line diagram. To do this, select two or more lines in the tabular display. You can use the checkboxes under the graphical display to select which data you want to display graphically.

Execution Overview Test Scripts

The output table has the following columns:

Column

Description

Start Date/End Date

Time period for which the extraction of data was considered. This means that the number of executions relate to this period.

No. of All Test Starts

Number of all started tests.

Script Starts

Number of all called test scripts.

In the graphical display, you can display the progress of the values of test script executions as a line diagram. To do this, select two or more lines in the tabular display. You can use the checkboxes under the graphical display to select which data you want to display graphically.
