Favorites List with Object and Log History
Use
On the eCATT initial screen (transaction SECATT), the favorites list, object history, and log history are displayed on the right. The favorites list gives you quick access to eCATT objects that you want to reuse. The object history displays the eCATT objects that you have worked on most recently. Similarly, the log history contains the logs that have been displayed most recently. The following sections contain information about the settings options and the individual tab pages.
Features
Settings
Under , you can make your own personal settings for the favorites list with object and log history. You have the following options:
-
You can use the Favorites, Object History, and Log History checkboxes to select which tab pages are to be visible on the initial screen.
-
You can use the Deny Other Users Access to Your Favorites and History Data checkbox to define whether other users are allowed to view the saved information.
-
You can choose how the favorites list and object history are filtered:
-
You can filter the favorites according to the Select Object subwindow displayed on the left of the eCATT initial screen. If you choose this option, the favorites list will only display objects of the type selected by the corresponding radio button in the Select Object subwindow.
-
Alternatively, you can filter independently of the Select Object subwindow. To do this, choose the Pushbuttons in ALV Toolbar option. If you choose this option, pushbuttons are displayed in the favorites list to hide or show all eCATT objects.
-
-
You can use the Reset pushbutton to undo the settings for each tab page.
User
Under , you will find a dialog for selecting a user in the system whose saved information (favorites, object or log history) you want to view. Depending or whether or not you have authorization, the information will be displayed or you will get a status message with an error.
Favorites List
You can add or remove favorites by using the corresponding buttons in the toolbar. If you are adding a favorite, a dialog opens whose structure is identical to the Select Object subwindow that is displayed on the left of the eCATT initial screen. If there is already data in the fields on the Select Object screen, this data is used.
You can also transfer data from the favorites list to the Select Object subwindow by choosing the button at the start of a list row.
If you have activated filtering by object type by using the Pushbuttons in ALV Toolbar option under Settings (see above), a pushbutton is displayed in the favorites list for each eCATT object type, which you can use to show or hide the favorites of this type.
A context menu is also available, from which you can display and edit the selected eCATT object. You can also use the context menu to delete, copy, rename, or execute objects, or execute a where-used list for them. To open the eCATT object in an editor (read mode), double-click it.
Object History
The object history displays the eCATT objects that you have worked on most recently. The object history is structured in the same way as the favorites list, but has the following different functions:
-
You can only delete individual entries from the history; you cannot add entries.
-
You can filter the entries not only by object type, but also by access type (displayed, changed, executed objects).
-
You can add an object to your favorites by using the context menu.
Log History
The log history displays the logs that you have called most recently. You can delete an entry from the log history by using the toolbar or the relevant context menu entry. To display a log, double-click it or use the corresponding context menu entry.
