Changing Translatability for Test Data Containers

Use

The descriptions in test data containers (TDCs) are translatable as standard. You can change the translatability and thus avoid unnecessary translation costs.

Procedure

To change the translatability of a TDC, proceed as follows:

1. In transaction SECATT, open the relevant test data container.

2. Choose the Attributes tab.

3. Choose the Restrictions tab.

4. In the Translation section, set the Prevent Translation indicator.

Result

The texts of the TDC will not be translated or will no longer be translated if changes are made.

Example

You are performing unit tests without business semantics. In this case translation is unnecessary. Therefore, you deactivate the translatability using the indicator mentioned above.
