This section describes how to load and analyze service metadata from the server as part of an OData service test in eCATT.
Procedure
- Open the eCATT OData wizard by calling transaction SECATT_ODATA.
- Enter either a URI or an HTTP destination that addresses the service to be tested.
We recommend using an HTTP destination as the access data is saved securely and manual logons are avoided. If you use a URI, you might have to enter your user data, depending on the setup of your service provider.
- Choose Load Service to get the metadata of the service.
Once the service metadata has been loaded, a name is proposed in the Proposed Name field. This name forms the basis for all other objects that you generate. You can adapt the proposed name to your project requirements.
- To display the metadata, choose Display Service.
