Uploading Web Service Test Scenarios

Use

You can upload Web service test scenarios to eCATT as XML files, to test WEBSERVICE commands using eCATT.

Prerequisites

To upload Web service test scenarios, you need SAP Composition Environment Release 7.1 or higher. Furthermore, the Web Service Navigator must be correctly configured.

Procedure

The following options are available:

• Upload the test scenario with simultaneous generation of eCATT objects (test configuration and test script)

• Upload the test scenario with simultaneous generation of a new Web service command interface

• Upload the test scenario to an existing command interface

• Upload test scenarios to create a test configuration variant or variants

You can make parameter settings before uploading. You can select which import and export parameters are to be created. All upload variants (except uploading to an existing command interface) are suitable for mass processing, that is, you can select multiple data records for processing. If you are uploading test scenarios to create a test configuration variant or variants, you can even select multiple XML files from a directory.

After upload, the script editor displays a log containing all original settings and any error messages. This enables you to track the upload process.
