Deleting Logs

Use

You can delete one or more eCATT logs, either manually or automatically. Logs are deleted automatically in background processes when their expiry date is reached, or archived if an archive is connected.

For more information, see Archive Administration (transaction SARA). The relevant object name is ECATT_LOG.

Procedure

Deleting Logs Manually

  1. On the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool: Initial Entry, choose the icon Log.

    The eCATT Log Selection screen appears.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute.

    A list of all logs that satisfy the selection criteria is displayed.

  3. Select the rows containing the logs that you want to delete.

  4. Choose Delete .

Deleting Logs Automatically

If the corresponding delete job is scheduled in transaction SARA (object name ECATT_LOG), the logs are automatically deleted 14 days once the expiration date is reached.

Change Expiration Date

The expiry date is set by default to 14 days after the execution. You can change this expiry date as follows:

  1. On the Extended Computer Aided Test Tool: Initial Entry the icon Log.

    The eCATT Log Selection screen appears.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute.

    A list of all logs that satisfy the selection criteria is displayed.

  3. Select the rows containing the logs whose expiration date is to be changed.

  4. Choose Change Expiry Date.

    A dialog box appears:

  5. In the Expiry Date field, enter the expiry date.

  6. Choose Continue .
