E-Muqeem Management

Al-ELM’s Muqeem Overview

In Saudi Arabia, the inflow and outflow of the expatriate workforce involve a variety of travel-related documents that are constantly being stamped and re-issued as employees enter and exit the country, and as the documents expire. Such documents include passports, visas, and Iqamas (residence visas).

To help control the flow of expatriates, the Saudi government through Al-ELM maintains a service called Muqeem, which consists of a database where all of these document details are recorded and updated dynamically whenever someone enters or exits the country, or is issued with a new visa or Iqama.

SAP E-Muqeem Management

To enable you to take advantage of the Saudi government’s service, the localization for Saudi Arabia provides the E-Muqeem Management tool (t-code HRSA_EMUQEEM), which enables you to connect your SAP system to the government database.

With E-Muqeem Management, you can synchronize your SAP system data with the Muqeem database and keep your SAP employee records up to date and consistent with the government data.

After you complete the hiring process in the SAP system, you can use E-Muqeem Management to do the following:

  • Record employee personnel information such as border entry number, and border entry date.

  • Record employee personal IDs such as passport details, Iqama details, and employee visas (single exit and reentry visa, multiple exit and reentry visa, and final exit visa).

  • Issue new exit and reentry visas or final exit visas by calling the government’s Muqeem service.

  • Cancel exit/reentry visas
