This guided tour shows how to create a strategy with an associated product mix.

A strategy specifies the rules and conditions for using a product mix, based on which the merchandising carousel displays a given product combination. For more details on strategies, see Glossary.

Note Before starting this guided tour, fulfil these prerequisites:

Set the site to one that is connected to SAP Commerce Cloud.
Create at least one product mix. For instructions on how to do it, see the Product Mix Builder documentation, or follow the steps in the dedicated SAP Companion guided tour, accessible from the Product Mixes UI.

To advance from one step to another, click on the highlighted UI elements or select Next in the bottom right corner of the pop-up, where applicable.

Click the Create button to open the strategy builder.

Enter a meaningful name for your strategy.

This parameter is mandatory.

Enter a meaningful description for your strategy.

This parameter is optional.

Click the Add Product Mix button to add a previously created product mix to your strategy.

Note When you click the Add Product Mix button, the strategy is automatically saved.

Search for or select one of the previously created product mixes.

Search for or select a category for the product mix.

For the purposes of this guided tour, leave this field empty so you don't limit the product mix to any category.

Set up a schedule to activate or deactivate the product mix within your strategy.

Note If you don't set up a schedule, the product mix will become active immediately and will continue to be active indefinitely.

For the purposes of this guided tour, leave the Start and Stop fields empty so the product mix becomes immediately active in your strategy.

Click the Save button to complete the process of associating the selected product mix with your strategy.

Your strategy has been created and the selected product mix has been associated with it.
