This guided tour helps you through the first steps in Intelligent Selling Services leading up to creating a merchandising carousel.

By the end of this guided tour, you will have created the following components:

a product mix
a strategy with a product mix association
a merchandising carousel in SAP Commerce Cloud

Note Before starting this guided tour, make sure the site is set to one that is connected to SAP Commerce Cloud.

To advance from one step to another, click on the highlighted elements on the UI or select Next in the bottom right corner of the step pop-ups, where applicable.

Make sure the Merchandising section is expanded to reveal all available interfaces.

Go to Product Mixes UI to create a product mix.

Click the Create button to open the product mix builder.

Enter a meaningful name for your product mix.

This parameter is mandatory.

Enter a meaningful description for your product mix.

This parameter is optional.

Choose a product mix type that determines the recommended products.

For the purposes of this guided tour, select Trending Products.

For more details on the available product mix types, see Product Mix Settings.

Choose a category sensitivity type to determine whether the recommendations should only display products from the consumer's current page category or a specified category.

For the purposes of this guided tour, select Current Category.

For more details on the available category sensitivity types, see Product Settings.

Define your product filtering settings to display or hide certain types of products.

For the purposes of this guided tour, select Show products in cart so the recommendation displays products that have already been added to the cart.

For more details on the available product filtering options, see Product Settings.

Click the Influencers tab to add an influencer to your product mix.

Click the Add Influencer button to see the list of available influencers.

For more details on the available influencers, see Influencers List.

Select the most relevant influencers for your scenario.

For the purposes of this guided tour, choose Add to Cart rate to see the preview of product recommendation on the right side.

Set the weight of the influencer.

You can type the value directly in the field, or move the slider to the left or to the right to reach the desired value.

For the purposes of this guided tour, type in 50 to set a positive boost for products that are frequently added to carts.

Click the Catalog tab to access the catalog of your products, as well as the preview of the product recommendation.

You can customize the recommendation preview by selecting specific categories in the next step.

Search for and select a category in the dropbox to see how products are recommended in the Product Mix Preview.

You can also add and fix a product from the list by dragging the product over to the Product Mix Preview.

For the purposes of this guided tour, select the first product from the catalog and drag it to the second position in Product Mix Preview to fix it in that specific spot.

Click the Create button to save your product mix.

Your product mix has been created. You can now use it when creating a strategy in the Strategies UI.

Go to Strategies UI to create a strategy.

Click the Create button to open the strategy builder.

Enter a meaningful name for your strategy.

This parameter is mandatory.

Enter a meaningful description for your strategy.

This parameter is optional.

Click the Add Product Mix button to add a previously created product mix to your strategy.

Note When you click the Add Product Mix button, the strategy is automatically saved.

Search for or select one of the previously created product mixes.

Search for or select a category for the product mix.

For the purposes of this guided tour, leave this field empty so you don't limit the product mix to any category.

Set up a schedule to activate or deactivate the product mix within your strategy.

Note If you don't set up a schedule, the product mix will become active immediately and will continue to be active indefinitely.

For the purposes of this guided tour, leave the Start and Stop fields empty so the product mix becomes immediately active in your strategy.

Click the Save button to complete the process of associating the selected product mix with your strategy.

Your strategy has been created and the selected product mix has been associated with it.

You can now proceed to create a merchandising carousel.
