Manager Self-Service (WDA), based on Web Dynpro ABAP (WDA) technology, is a cross-application self-service solution for the operative management level, for example:

  • Line managers

  • Team leaders with project management tasks

  • Heads of department

This solution gives your managers centralized access to the applications they need to perform their tasks and provides them with all the important data and information for their particular area of responsibility.

The uniform technological basis enables a rich and harmonized user experience and a graphical representation of the most important information.

Manager Self-Service (WDA) supports your managers in the following areas:

  • Tasks related to the personnel responsibility for their team

  • Controlling tasks within their budgeting responsibilities

  • Planning tasks

  • Project management tasks

  • Monitoring their area of responsibility using reports and evaluations

Integration

For the Manager Self-Service (WDA) component, the business function HCM, MSS on Web Dynpro ABAP (HCM_MSS_WDA_1) and HCM, MSS on Web Dynpro ABAP 2(HCM_MSS_WDA_2) are a prerequisite.

Features

For Manager Self-Service (WDA), two deployment options are available:

  • MSS (WDA) in SAP NetWeaver Portal

  • Manager Self-Service in SAP NetWeaver Business Client
