Configuring Authorizations for Business Objects

Prerequisites

You have opened the Composite Application Framework Authorization Tool in SAP NetWeaver Administrator. To do this, go to: http://<host>:<port>/nwa , choose Start of the navigation path Configuration Next navigation step Security Identity Management End of the navigation path and choose Composite Application Framework Authorization Tool .

Context

You need to set up permissions for the different users at runtime.

Procedure

Navigate to demo.sap.com tutorial modeled.Student
Choose New Rule and enter Student Rule .
In the Principal Name field, enter the name of the user to whom you want to give access to business object Student .
Choose Add Selected to ACL .

Note

If the name you have entered has multiple matches, a dialog box displays all the options. Select one and choose OK.
From the Permissions dropdown box, select fullcontrol .
Choose Save Business Rules .

Results

You can test now the permission checks again. This time the test should be successful:
