Software Version: 2021

This document, also known as a Product Availability Matrix (PAM), provides information on system requirements, supported operating systems, technologies, and integrations.
Note: UFT in this document means UFT One unless specifically stated otherwise

In this topic:

Hardware requirements

To successfully install and run UFT, your computer must meet the minimum hardware requirements listed.

Performance may be improved by using a computer with the recommended system requirements.

The following hardware requirements are relevant for UFT version 2021.

Hardware Requirement Details
CPU Recommended Dual core with 2.6 GHz. Quad Core (4 cores) with 4.0 GHz for AI Tests. Only Intel processor is supported, not M1
Memory Recommended 4 GB or more of RAM. 8 GB for AI Tests
Resolution Minimum 1024 X 768 or higher
Free HD Space Recommended SSD type, 20 GB of free disk space for application files and folders
Browser Required A recent version of modern browsers, see more details in the GUI web support.
Mac Required

When testing Safari on Mac, you must install the UFT Connection Agent.

There are no additional hardware requirements.

Software requirements

UFT versions 2021 have the following software requirements:

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable is required before installing UFT, included in the prerequisites installer.

Redistributable or higher

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable, or a higher version, is required before installing UFT, included in the prerequisites installer.

This Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable requires a Microsoft update:

         Tip: If the installation does not start due to missing KB files, troubleshoot by viewing the VC2019Prerequisite_yyyymmdd_XXXXXX.log file in the %TEMP% directory.
UFT Developer
(formerly known as LeanFT)		 If you are installing UFT Developer, you must first install Node.js 8.8.2 or later.
Additional
software
requirements

The following programs are required before installing UFT. If they are not found, the UFT installer will prompt you to install them.

  • .NET 5.0.6
  • Microsoft Access database engine 2016 32bit
  • Microsoft pdm.dll

The following programs are recommended before installing UFT.

These programs unavailable with the UFT installation files. They are to be downloaded by the users.

  • Microsoft WSE 2.0 SP3 Runtime
  • Microsoft WSE 3.0 Runtime
