Definition

The check criteria ensure that the product does not contain any prohibited substances according to China Restriction of Hazardous Substances (China RoHS). The standard check for covers the following criteria:

10	Mass unit for pure substance is not “%”	A pure substance can only be contained in a composition as a mass percentage. The systems checks if one of the following is used the correct unit of measure for the pure substance in the composition of a basic material a surface If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
11	No average value given for composition	For components not marked as residue, the system checks whether there is a target value, an upper limit, or a lower limit for the component in the composition of the specification. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
15	Sum of pure substances not 100%	The system checks whether the sum of pure substances in the composition of a basic material or surface does not total 100%. The system allows a tolerance value in the composition. The default value is 0.0001. If the sum is not 100%, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
16	Amount of basic material not mass or “%”	The system checks whether the basic material or the surface in the composition is maintained either as a mass or as a percentage. Otherwise the system cannot process the mass calculations for the assigned basic materials or surfaces correctly and sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
18	Sum of basic materials not 100%	The system checks whether the basic materials and surfaces in a composition of parts, bulks, or real substances total 100%. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
19	Bulk without mass in composition	The system checks whether the unit of measure of a bulk or a real substance in the composition is mass or percentage. Otherwise the system cannot process the mass calculations for the assigned bulks or real substances correctly and sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
26	No weight specified	The system checks if the measured weight is entered for the product, the assembly, or the part. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings. Caution This criteria is a consistency check, but not relevant for China RoHS and EU RoHS
28	Measuring unit for product is not piece	The system checks whether the unit of measure for all components of the composition of the product is piece. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors. Caution This criteria is a consistency check, but not relevant for China RoHS and EU RoHS
29	Basic material is not released	The system checks whether the internal basic material or the internal surface material is released for use. If not, the system sets the check result ot Checked with Errors.
31	Calculated weight differs from measured weight	The system checks whether the calculated weight for the composition differs from the measured weight exceeding the allowed deviation. In the standard system, the permitted tolerance is 10%. Note The preset value for the tolerance is pulled from the environment parameter for back end processes PDB_PRODUCT_WEIGHT_TOLERANCE. If the deviation exceeds the tolerance, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors. Caution This criteria is a consistency check, but not relevant for China RoHS and EU RoHS
67	Only integer values for piece allowed	The system checks for components that have the unit of measure Piece, if whole numbers are used as value for the specification in the composition. Note The system checks against whole numbers and not against natural numbers as a composition can comprise a negative number of pieces, for example, auxiliary parts for assembling. If numbers other than whole numbers are used, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors. Caution This criteria is a consistency check, but not relevant for China RoHS and EU RoHS
74	Weight cannot be calculated	The system checks whether the weight can be calculated. The weight cannot be calculated, for example, because weight data for the specification is missing or the unit of measure is wrong. If so, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings. Caution This criteria is a consistency check, but not relevant for China RoHS and EU RoHS
121	Sum of bulks not 100%	The system checks whether the composition of a bulk only contains bulks or real substances. If the components do not total 100% of bulks or real substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
313	Required inc. documents missing	The system checks whether the links to all required incoming documents are available. In Customizing, you define the required incoming documents. If links to incoming documents are missing, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
314	Required outg. documents missing	Note This check is part of the standard delivery, but is not activated. The system checks whether the links to all required outgoing documents are available. In Customizing, you define the required outgoing documents. If links to outgoing documents are missing, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors.
898	Worst check result of children is error	The system checks if there is any severe inconsistency in the substructure of the checked object. Such inconsistencies are given, if any object in the substructure of the checked object has a check result containing the value Checked with Errors and if this criterion is relevant for the upper levels. Now the system also sets the check result of the checked object to Checked with Errors. This check criterion has priority over criterion 899. If there occur warnings and errors in the substructure, the system displays on the highest level only the error.
899	Worst check result of children is warning	The system checks if there is any inconsistency in the substructure of the checked object. Such inconsistencies are given, if any object in the substructure of the checked object has a check result containing the value Checked with Warnings and if this criterion is relevant for the upper levels. Now the system also sets the check result of the checked object to Checked with Warnings. This check criterion has lower priority than criterion 898. If there occur warnings and errors in the substructure, the system displays on the highest level only the errors of criterion 899 and not the warnings of criterion 898.

If the threshold is not defined, substances need an exemption or are prohibited. If prohibited substances are found, the system sets the check result to Checked with Error and set the compliance status of the pure substance to Not Compliant.
43	Invalid exemption	This criterion applies to products, materials, and supplier parts containing declarable substances, which are exempted. The system checks whether the exemption that is assigned to the substance for the regulatory list has expired or is invalid. If expired or invalid exemptions exist, he system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant. Note Expired exemptions can, for example, result from exemptions in regulatory lists, which are defined with an expiration date. Invalid exemptions can, for example, result from a revision of a regulatory list, which contains fewer exemptions than the previous version.
44	No compliance status	The system checks whether declarable substances are maintained or pure substances are assigned to the basic material. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
81	Missing weight for check against part	This criterion applies to substances that are regulated against part. The system was not able to calculate the mass fraction of the component against the parent part. The system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and continues the calculation with a worst case assumption (100% contained in parent).
206	Basic material incomplete	This criterion applies to basic materials with declarable substances. The system checks whether the basic material has all listed substances for the given regulatory list declared. If the declaration is not complete, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
240	Proh. subst. contained basic material	This criterion applies to basic materials containing a prohibited substance for the given regulatory list revision. The system checks whether the basic material contains a prohibited substance that exceeds the threshold without having an exemption assigned. If no threshold is defined, a substance not exempted is prohibited. If there are prohibited substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant.
306	Lowest part incomplete	This criterion applies to leaf parts (parts without components) that are no supplier parts and have declarable substances maintained. The system checks whether this lowest part has all listed substances for the given regulatory list declared. If the declaration is not complete, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
340	Lowest Part proh. subst. contained	This criterion applies to leaf parts (parts without components) that are no supplier parts and contain prohibited substances of the given regulatory list revision. The system checks whether the leaf part contains a prohibited substance that exceeds the threshold without having an exemption assigned. If no threshold is defined, a substance not exempted is prohibited. If there are prohibited substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant.
344	Lowest part no compliance status	This criterion applies to leaf parts (parts without components) that are no supplier parts. For these lowest parts the system checks whether declarable substances are maintained. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
406	Overwritten part is incomplete	This criterion applies to parts that contain manually overwritten declarable substances. The system checks whether the overwritten part has all listed substances for the given regulatory list declared. If the declaration is not complete, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
440	Proh. subst. contained overwritten part	This criterion applies to overwritten parts that contain a prohibited substance for the regulatory list revision. The system checks whether the overwritten part contains a prohibited substance that exceeds the threshold without having an exemption assigned. If no threshold is defined, a substance not exempted is prohibited. If there are prohibited substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant.
444	Overwritten part no compliance status	This criterion applies to overwritten parts. The system checks whether declarable substances are maintained or pure substances are assigned to the part. If not, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
506	Release relevant component incomplete	This criterion applies to release relevant parts that have declarable substances maintained. The system checks whether the release relevant part has all listed substances for the given regulatory list declared. If the declaration is not complete, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
540	Release rel. comp proh. subst. contained	This criterion applies to release relevant parts containing a prohibited substance for the given regulatory list revision. The system checks whether the release relevant part contains a prohibited substance that exceeds the threshold without having an exemption assigned. If no threshold is defined, a substance not exempted is prohibited. If there are prohibited substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant.

744	Supplier part no compliance status	This criterion applies to supplier parts. The system checks whether declarable substances are maintained or pure substances are assigned to the supplier part. If this compliance declaration is missing, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
750	Not release-relevant and overw/man/imp	This criterion applies to not relevant parts that have manually maintained (declaration type overwritten, maintained or imported) declarable substances. The system checks whether there were relevant changes in the product structure below that part and returns the information.
806	Not rel. relevant component incomplete	This criterion applies to not-release-relevant parts that have declarable substances maintained. The system checks whether the not release relevant part has all listed substances for the given regulatory list declared. If the declaration is not complete, the system sets the check result to Checked with Warnings and the compliance status to Missing Compliance Data.
840	Not rel. comp proh. subst. contained	This criterion applies to not-release-relevant parts that contain a prohibited substance for the given regulatory list revision. The system checks whether the not release relevant part contains a prohibited substance that exceeds the threshold without having an exemption assigned. If no threshold is defined, a substance not exempted is prohibited. If there are prohibited substances, the system sets the check result to Checked with Errors and the compliance status to Not Compliant.
