Use this app to create and maintain a manufacturing bill of material (MBOM) from an engineering bill of material (EBOM).

  • Planning an MBOM from an EBOM.

  • Allocate or deallocate components to restructure the MBOM.

  • Publish the planned MBOM data from the app to the target source system (SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition).

Search and filter the product structures created using the Product Data Integration SaaS application. These product structures do not have any BOM associated with them. The PLM BOMs doesn't have a BOM number, and they also do not exist in the external data source system (SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, or SAP ERP) systems. The PLM BOMs are associated with the product versions. For more information on versioning, see Product Versioning.

An alternative BOM (Bill of Materials) refers to a version of a BOM that contains alternative components or materials used to manufacture the same product.

Search and filter the BOMs from the connected external data source system (SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, or SAP ERP) systems. You can search for BOMs associated with change numbers.

For users who created the SAP S/4HANA BOMs, the system displays the user IDs or names. For those who created the SAP PLM BOMs, the system displays their email IDs.

Here are the step to edit the handover description:

  1. Choose the handover for which you want to edit the description.

  2. Choose Edit Description.

  3. In the Edit Handover Details dialog box, edit the description for the handover and choose Submit.

    The description is updated for the selected handover. Note that the Edit Handover Details dialog box allows you to only edit the description.

The delete option is available only for In progress handover status and if the handover hasn't been published even once.
