Use this app to create Visualization categories and different types of usages and do many other configuration tasks.

Key Features

This app lets you do the following:

  • Configure Visualization categories

  • Configure Visualization usages

  • Configure intent navigation

  • Configure Visualization import settings

  • Configure workflow settings

  • Configure scripts to implement correct workflows and perform automatic visualization modifications

A Visualization Category is a mechanism that allows an administrator to centrally manage a set of named categories. Any single Visualization can have one of the Visualization categories assigned by a user.

These categories are useful when there are multiple visualizations for the same product, and serve as a mechanism to identify visualizations for a particular purpose.

Adds a new Visualization Category. In the Add Category window, enter a name and description for the category.

Choose this to edit the name and description of the category.

Deletes the selected category. You are prompted to confirm.

Visualization Usages provide a template for storing business application identifiers in a consistently managed way. The data is stored as Visualization metadata.

The user and application APIs allow for searching for visualizations without exposing the internal Visualization metadata structures.

Adds a new Visualization Usage. In the New Visualization Usage window, enter a name, source, and category. Enter one or more keys (name and display name) for the usage.

Choose this to edit the selected Visualization Usage. In the Edit Visualization Usage window, edit the name and description of the usage.

Deletes the selected usage. You are prompted to confirm.

Visualization Import Settings lets administrators customize import sets. They can add, edit, delete, or change any other option in a import setting as per the requirements of the workflow. Once configured, these import options set is used by the users when they upload CAD files in Visualization.

Choose this to set the selected import setting as the default option. Once an administrator sets an import setting as default, then that option is selected by default as an Import Options Set in the Import app. Also, this default import setting can't be deleted by the users.

Choose this option to create a new Visualization Import Setting. In the Create Visualization Import Options window, enter a name, description, and set file format options for that setting.

Choose this to edit the selected Visualization Import Setting. In the Edit Visualization Import Options window, edit the name, description, and file format options.

Choose this option to delete the selected import setting. You are prompted to confirm.

Workflow Settings lets administrators configure a workflow instance for when importing visualizations is being started, or published in the Visualization. They can also customize a message that is sent to the import workflow once importing visualizations is completed. This is valid only if import workflow is configured.
