How to create a configuration plan with a lifecycle phase and a baseline. This example has SAP S/4HANA as the data source.

Set video to Full screen.

Visit the User Guide for Configuration Management for more information.

After you have customized your view in Settings , choose Save As to save your setting.

Choose Manage to set a view for default, for example.

You can add additional information that describe the controlled object/baseline by uploading attachments and adding URL links.

In order to make snapshots (or baselines) of your product, you need to define a configuration plan as a storage location for your baselines. For more information, see Create a Configuration Plan.

Note

In a configuration plan, you can combine lifecycle phases derived from a template with phases that you maintain manually for the configuration plan.

For general information on baselines, see User Guide for Configuration Management.

The baseline profile to be used for this baseline determines what you can do here. If the data source in the baseline profile is an external system, such as SAP S/4HANA, you can enter a source system ID. If the data for the baseline is to be fetched from within SAP Integrated Product Development, it is not necessary to enter a source system. This field is then read only.

Select the source system to be used for the baseline as needed. The displayed options depend on which systems have been connected to SAP Integrated Product Development.

Enter the controlled object. This is the technical item/header material you want to have documented in a baseline.
