Use this app to manage the properties that record the details of a specification, including attribute properties, composition properties, and information properties.
This app lets you do the following:
Create and maintain attribute properties
Create and maintain composition properties
Create and maintain information properties
Define properties in various languages, and based on validity.
The name and ID of the property.
The type of the property. It can be Attribute Property, Composition Property, Information Property, or any combination of these.
You can create properties to provide details on items in a specification. Properties can be in text form or they can be numeric values, including the appropriate unit of measure.
To create a new property, choose Create. After creation, the status of your property is In Work. You can release or delete properties that are In Work. You can't revert released properties to In Work or delete them if they are used in a property tree of a specification type in an existing specification.
If properties have been assigned to any of the following objects, the objects can't be deleted:
Specification type
Composition item group
Composition item type
Phrase collection
Qualitative statement group
Role in composition group
Value qualifier group
The status of the property indicates whether the property has been released or is in In Work status.
There is no obsolete status for properties.

A type of property that describes the characteristics of an object or entity in more detail. Each attribute property groups a set of fields depending on the requirement to describe a given property.
Attribute fields contain the detailed property characteristics that define and store specific data of a business object, e.g. a specification or a product. The types of attribute fields include: numeric key figures, character-based fields, date/time fields, boolean values, and URL fields.
You can change the order of the attribute fields.
To adjust the order of attribute fields, choose Reorder.
Use Maximum Row Number to limit the number of rows to display.
A type of property that contains a list of properties sourced from either a composition item configuration or from specifications.
You can select data from a composition configuration or specification; however, you can't maintain the content of compositions freely.
You can also define up to 10 additional custom fields for composition properties.
Add geographic or manufacturing information by selecting the Country/Region and/or Plant checkboxes.
Tick the checkbox when users can have a property with the following settings:
Allow for Not Applicable: If you enable this option, users can set the property as Not Applicable in specifications.
Allow for No Data Available: If you enable this option, users can set the property as No Data Available in specifications.
Tick the checkbox when the property can be used by SAP Business AI.
You can configure the composition properties that contain a list of items sourced from either a composition item configuration or from specifications depending on their type, or from all the available specifications.
You can choose a Composition Type in the header configuration of your composition:
Quantitative: specify the number format for the values of your composition and an interval, if required.
Quantitative with Reference Quantity: the compositions have a reference quantity and reference unit of measure to specify a reference amount your composition items refer to.
Proportional: the dimension for the UoM is set to the type Proportion, and later you can check whether each composition column reaches the defined proportion as a whole.
List Without Quantities: value and unit of measure are not required.
Qualitative statements help characterize the constituents of compositions, for example, trace elements, contains, not contains, or unknown. By providing a group of qualitative statements in a property configuration, you can choose a qualitative statement for composition items to be added to the corresponding property in a specification.
Roles characterize the constituents of a composition, for example, active ingredient, solvent, stabilizer, or impurity, together with the value sets for qualitative statements and value qualifiers for compositions. By providing a group of roles in a property configuration, you can choose a role for composition items to be added to the corresponding property in a specification.
Value qualifiers help characterize the constituents of compositions, for example, measured, certified, warning, supplier provided, not validated, validated, calculated, or compliance provided. They work alongside value sets for roles in compositions and qualitative statements for compositions. By providing a group of value qualifiers in a property configuration, you can choose a value qualifier for composition items to be added to the corresponding property in a specification.
The Data Source Information indicates the source of the composition data, from a composition item configuration, a specification depending on its type, or all specifications. You can select the Data Source that indicates whether the composition data is from a composition item configuration, a specification depending on its type, or all specifications.
You can choose multiple separate fields for providing data values for composition items, for example, a target value, minimum, or maximum.
These are the types of attribute fields that you can use:
Decimal: contains decimal data to be maintained.
Integer: contains integer data to be maintained.
Free Text: contains data to be maintained in text format with a length you can define.
Phrase Collection: contains data to be maintained in a predefined group of phrases.
Standard List: contains data to be maintained in a predefined pick list.
Date: contains date information.
Date and Time: contains date and time information.
URL: contains URL information.
Boolean Value: contains True or False information.
The Information property uses Rich Text Format (RTF), allowing you to change the font and formatting of the text for added detail.
