Analytical Reporting API for Strategic Procurement and Operational Procurement

This guide is for a customer developer who wants to create a client application that extracts reportable data from reporting facts and dimensions such as you would select in the user interface when creating an analytical report.

Client applications construct API queries that filter and retrieve analytical reporting data from fact and dimension tables.

This guide applies to:

Restrictions

You cannot modify a system view template; only custom view templates can be modified.

A valid API request for the SAP Ariba analytical reporting API is always limited in the following ways:

  • The maximum number of records returned depends on self-service parameters that can be set in the Intelligent Configuration Manager workspace.

  • The maximum timespan for records returned is one year

  • Supplier enriched financial fields are excluded from the API response

Any API request attempting to exceed these restrictions will be rejected, and the response will include an error message. See Error Messages Returned by Reporting APIs for the list of possible error messages.
