SMP/SAP/SPP GB (Infotype 0088) You use this infotype to maintain the relevant datafor Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP), Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP), and Statutory Paternity Pay (SPP) processing for an individual employee.
The information contained in this infotype enables the
Payroll
component to determine whether an employee qualifies for SMP, SAP or SPP and to calculate the correct rate of payment.
Infotype
SMP/SAP/SPP GB
( 0088) is divided into four subtypes, each subtype relevant for recording details of a specific statutory absence: These subtypes are:
1. SUBTYPE SAP: STATUTORY ADOPTION PAY
When you enter details from the employee’s Matching Certificate in the
Registration
group box of infotype 0088, the SAP System automatically calculates the dates between which the Adoption Pay Period (APP) is allowed to start, the start date of the Matching Week and the expected end of this statutory absence.
When you enter the details from the employee's Mat B1 Form in the
Registration
group box , the system automatically calculates the Expected Week of Confinement (Childbirth), the Qualifying Week and the dates between which this statutory absence can commence.
The statutory MPP always begins on the first Sunday of the maternity leave absence. If the date you enter does not fall on a Sunday, the system sets theMPP start date to the next Sunday. When you enter the actual start date for the MPP, the system automatically calculates the expected end date of the maternity period. If you do not enter the actual start date of the MPP, the
Payroll
component cannot make SMP payments to the employee.
When you enter details from the employee’s Self-Certificate SC4 in the
Registration
group box, the system automatically calculates the dates between which the Paternity Pay Period (PPP) is allowed to start, the start date of the matching week and the expected end of this statutory absence.
When you enter the details from the employee's Self-Certificate SC3 form in the
Registration
group box , the system automatically calculates the Expected Week of Confinement (Childbirth), the dates between which the Paternity Pay Period (PPP) can commence, the start date of the Qualifying Week and the expected end of this statutory absence.
When you record a Maternity, Adoption or Paternity leave absence for an employee in an infotype
Absences
(2001) record, the system is set up to display the infotype
SMP/SAP/SPP GB
(0088) automatically. You only then need to add the details of the specific period of absence in infotype 0088.
To enable the
Payroll
component to calculate the correct rate of SMP, SAP or SPP for the employee, and when to pay it, infotype 2001 is read during the payroll run in conjunction with the following infotypes:
