Control Recipe Destinations

Definition

Process control system, line operator, or group of line operators that receives and executes control recipes.

Use

You define control recipe destinations in Customizing for Process Management by choosing Start of the navigation path Control Recipes/PI Sheets Next navigation step Define and Set Up Control Recipe Destinations End of the navigation path .

  • If you define characteristic-based process instructions in a master recipe or process order in the process instruction overview, then assign the control recipe destination to a phase (see also Assignment of a Control Recipe Destination ).

  • If you define XSteps in a master recipe or process order in the XSteps editor, assign a control recipe destination type to the XStep (for example, a PI sheet or an external system) or a particular control recipe destination.

During order creation, you create one control recipe for each control recipe destination of a process order.

Structure

A control recipe destination contains the following data (see graphic below):

  • The destination type that specifies:

    • Type 1: Transfer to an ABAP list-based PI sheet The control recipe destination is an operating group for the PI sheet that is displayed as an ABAP list on the screen.

    • Type 2: Download to external system, initiated by process management (SAP) The control recipe destination is an external system. The control recipe transfer to the external system is to be initiated by the SAP system.

    • Type 3: Download to external system, initiated by process control The control recipe destination is an external system. The control recipe transfer to the external system is to be initiated by the external system.

    • Type 4: Transfer to a browser-based PI sheet The control recipe destination is an operating group for the SAP PI sheet that is displayed in HTML layout on the screen.

  • The destination address

  • In destinations for processing SAP PI sheets, details on:

    • The number of phases that are displayed at the same time

    • Whether a password or a digital signatureis required when a signature is executed

  • For non-SAP systems, the process instruction categories that are suitable for the corresponding system

  • Details on the sequence in which material-related process instructions are generated in the process order

  • Details on the process instructions that are automatically generated when the control recipe is created
