Changing Process Messages

To change process messages, proceed as follows:

  1. On the overview screen of the monitor, select the messages that you want to change:

  2. – To change individual messages, only select the messages you want to change.

    – To select all messages, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Selections Next navigation step Select all. End of the navigation path

    – To select all messages of a specific message category or status, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Selections Next navigation step Select by cat.... Next navigation step or Next navigation step Edit Next navigation step Selections Next navigation step Select by status... Next navigation step . End of the navigation path

    Enter the desired message category or status and choose Continue.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Change End of the navigation path .

  4. A dialog box appears where you can maintain the characteristic values for the message.

  5. Add or change values as required.

You need to maintain a value for all characteristics marked as required in the message category.

If allowed characteristic values have been maintained for the characteristic in Customizing, you can display them for selection.

If the message category you have selected contains a characteristic for which you want to enter a long text, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the characteristic.

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Long text End of the navigation path . The text editor appears

  3. Enter the desired text and save it.

Choose Back to go back to the next long text or the characteristic overview.

  1. Save your message.

  2. If you have selected several messages, the system automatically jumps to the next message after you have saved.

  3. Repeat steps 3 to 4 for the next message.

    If you do not want to change a message, you can choose Start of the navigation path Goto Next navigation step Next message End of the navigation path to jump to the next message manually.

  4. To return to the message monitor, choose Back .

Caution Caution

By saving a message, you release it for sending. This normally means that the message is sent automatically and can therefore no longer be changed.
