Editing Process Parameters in the PI Assistant You want to maintain a process parameter for the PI sheet.
You have created the process parameter in the master recipe and called the process instruction assistant (PI assistant); see Editing Process Instructions in the PI Assistant .

If you can only define some of the process parameter data, such as the text of a control instruction, when you are in the process order, you can leave the relevant field blank in the master recipe. In this case, you can leave the relevant field empty in the master recipe.
Check and, if necessary, correct the data on the
Control instructions
tab.

If you enter long texts now or in one of the following steps, note that paragraph and character formats are only taken into account in the browser-based PI sheet but not in the ABAP list-based PI sheet.
To create a new control instruction:
Choose
Create.
Enter the text for the control instruction and exit the editor.
Use sort numbers to specify the sequence of the control instructions.
To change the text for a control instruction:
Select the control instruction and choose
Change
.
Make your changes.
To delete a control instruction:
Select the control instruction and choose
Delete
.
Check and correct the data on the
Characteristics
tab.
To add a new characteristic:
Choose
Insert
and select the characteristic you want to use.
To assign a characteristic value:
Specify how the characteristic value is assigned by setting the corresponding indicator and choose
.
If you have specified that a fixed value is assigned, enter the value.
If the characteristic value is a long text, select the characteristic and choose
Change
.
To delete a characteristic:
Select the characteristic and choose
Delete
.
Check and correct the data on the
Notes
tab.
To create a new note:
Choose
Create.
Enter the note and exit the editor.
Use sort numbers to specify the sequence of the notes.
To change the text of a note:
Select the note and choose
Change
.
Make your changes.
To delete a note:
Select the note and choose
Delete
.
Check the process instruction and, if necessary, correct errors (see Checking Process Instructions in the PI Assistant ).
When you have finished editing the data, choose
Copy
and save the master recipe.

If you have not corrected all errors when exiting the process instruction assistant, the error log is displayed. To call up the PI assistant again and correct errors, you must, however, first choose
Continue
to get back to the process instruction overview.
