Display Features

Use

The Front-End Editor supports various display settings:

  • Changed lines indicator

This feature allows you to see which parts of the code have been changed during the current session and which have been saved.

  • Line numbers

This feature helps you to navigate through the code. It also helps you to notice wrapped lines, when you are in word wrap mode.

  • Protected areas

This feature allows you to define part of the document as read-only. It displays the area in a different color and an additional symbol appears in the margin.

  • Current line highlighting

This feature allows you to find the current cursor position in the document.

  • White space

This feature allows you to see hidden symbols such as spaces, tabs, and line breaks.

  • Vertical and horizontal scroll bars

You can hide or display both vertical and horizontal scroll bars.

  • Page Width indicator

This feature allows you to use the page width to check the length of your lines and to see if they are inside a defined range.

  • Structure separators

This feature allows you to see the end of high-level structures (function, subroutine, class, method and so on). It separates them from one another and facilitates the navigation.
