Using the Web Administration Interface
Use
You can monitor and administrate the Internet Communication Manager (ICM) using the browser.
The functionality and structure is comparable to the ICM Monitor (transaction SMICM) in AS ABAP.
You do not need the SAP GUI to access the Web administration interface, and you do not have to be logged on to the computer on which the ICM is running. This is how you can administrate the ICM in Java-only systems.
Integration
You can also monitor and manage the ICM using command line programs.
More information: Using the Command Line Programs icmon and wdispmon
Prerequisites
To manage the ICM from the browser, the Web administration interface must be set up. The procedure is described in Setting Up the Web Administration Interface.
If the ICM was installed using SAPInst, the Web administration interface is already set up. If you click on the ICM from the MMC, you have to identify yourself. If you install it using SAPInst, Web administration user webadm is created by default. The password is the master password assigned in the installation.
Features
Enter the URL http(s)://host:admin_port/sap/admin in the browser. Here the host is the computer on which the Web dispatcher or ICM is running and admin_port is the administration port configured with icm/HTTP/admin_<xx>.
When you have logged on, the administration and monitoring interface appears.
