Authorizations
User role SAP_BC_ABAP_LANGUAGE_DISPLAY contains the authorizations that are required for using transaction SAAB and controlling checkpoints that can be made active.
These are the individual authorizations that are required:

Creating and managing checkpoint groups
Authorization object S_DEVELOP with object type ACID (checkpoint group) as well as the activities 01 (create), 02 (change), 03 (display), and 06 (delete).

Creating and managing activation variants
Authorization object S_DEVELOP with object type AVAR (activation variant) as well as the activities 01 (create), 02 (change), 03 (display), and 06 (delete).

Activating checkpoint groups or activation variants
When a group is activated, the system checks the display authorization for debugging. For a user to be able to activate a checkpoint group for one or all users, he or she requires change authorization for debugging (activity 02). Authorization object S_ADMI_FCD, value PADM is also checked.
