Integration of Quality Notification with Advanced Returns Management
With the QM component Quality Notifications
, you can support Advanced Returns Management in your enterprise. For example, if goods are returned by a customer for repair or replacement because of a technical defect, you can use a quality notification to process the return delivery. You record the problem in a quality notification for a customer complaint (notification type Q1 in the standard system) and then use the functions of the quality notification and integrated action box to create a returns order.

In Customizing for Quality Management under , the entries Create Returns Order
, Display Returns Order
, and Display Returns Overview
must be available for the relevant notification types.
Under , the follow-up action ADV_RET (Create Advanced Return) must be maintained with the function module QM06_ADV_RETURNS_CREATE_FA.
The action box for quality notifications has the following three new follow-up actions for notification types of the origin Customer Complaint

Display Returns Order
Display Returns Overview
You can use this function in Advanced Returns Management to create a returns order, display a created returns order, and display the returns overview.
When you choose an entry, a dialog box appears in which you can specify the necessary data for the returns order.
Choose Display Notification
to display the returns order and in the notification, call the function Document Flow
. The sales order number is displayed in the document flow.
