Initial Data Transfer for Commodity Price Exposures
The initial creation of commodity price exposures is necessary when DCS-based material stock or commodity and financial transactions (commodity forwards, commodity futures, commodity swaps, listed options and OTC commodity options) exist in the system before the update is activated, or when errors occurred during the update run.
You can use the following programs for this:
Initial Data Transfer for Financial Transactions (RFTR_COEX_LOAD_FTA_EXPOSURE
)
Initial Data Transfer for Physical Transactions (RFTR_COEX_LOAD_TEX_EXPOSURE)
You use these transactions to transfer commodity price exposures with fixed or variable prices to database TEXT_CTY_EXPOS
on the basis of derivative contract specifications. (Note: For commodity future
transactions, only open transactions are transferred initially.)
At runtime, the system generates an error log (transaction FTRCOEXLG1
) which logs any incorrect data (for example, commodities that do not exist in the system, or price information that is missing for a particular key date). You can use this log to correct errors such as these and then copy the updated data. To do so, choose the Regenerate
pushbutton in the corresponding initial data transfer.
You have activated the function for creating and updating commodity price exposures. You can find this function in Customizing under .
