Function documentationWeb User Interface of Routing Component Assignment

The routing component assignment combines the product structure with the routing structure by means of assignments, and helps you to create a manufacturing BOM. The Web user interface contains the following areas:

Area

Function

General Data

Display and processing of planning scope data:

You can create new versions of the planning scope (see Working with Versions of the Planning Scope).

Assignments of Routing to Material BOM

Synchronization data:

You can create the data that is required for creating the manufacturing BOM from the routing (see Determination of Material BOM for Synchronization).

Product Structure Simulation

Display and processing of data for product structure simulation (see Determination of Simulation Parameters for Planning Scope)

User Settings

Display and editing of user settings for the following:

Product structure

Display of complete structure of selected product entry based on simulation parameters:

You can assign product structure elements to routing operations as well as analyze existing assignments (see Highlighting of Elements of the Product Structure).

Assignments

Display of assignments of product structure elements to routing operations (see Assignment of Product Structure Elements to Operations)

Viewer

Display of product structure in the viewer (see Display of Product Structure in Viewer)

You can assign product structure elements to routing operations, based on instances.

Routing Structure

Display and processing of routings, operations, sequences, production resources/tools (see Creation and Processing of a Routing on the Web UI)

The following functions are available:

Function

Description

Define planning scope via product entry routing effectivity data and simulation parameters

See Definition of Planning Scope

Determine planning level

You can determine which product structure elements you want to plan (see Determination of Planning Level).

Display product structure in viewer

See Display of Product Structure in Viewer

Process routings and operations

Creation and Processing of a Routing on the Web UI

Select components in the viewer or in the product structure and assign them to operations

If you choose Assign, you can select single elements in the product structure or in the viewer and assign them to routing operations (see Assignment of Product Structure Elements to Operations).

Note Note

You can only make instance-based assignments in the viewer.,

End of the note.

Synchronize

Once you have determined the header data for the manufacturing BOM; you can choose Synchronize to copy a routing that you have assigned product structure elements to, to a manufacturing BOM (see Determination of Material BOM for Synchronization, Synchronizing a Routing with a Manufacturing BOM).

Adjust planning level

If you change the simulation or retroactively delete a source object in the product structure, the planning level also changes, in other words, elements that were previously valid are no longer in the planning level. You can choose Reconcile to branch to these planning level elements, select and delete them.

Check consistency

You can check the consistency of your entries at any time. The system checks the following, for example:

  • The validity of the source objects

  • The existence of operations

Switch processing mode

You can choose Display (Display) and Change (Change) to switch between read and change mode.

Additional functions

User settings (see Editing of User Settings)

Create new version (see Working with Versions of the Planning Scope)

Related links

You can branch to the Web user interface for Product Structure and Assembly Management and display its product structure with an active simulation (DMU mode) (see Product Structure and Assembly Management (PLM-WUI-OBJ-PSM)).

Integration

You can display or hide areas of the Web UI according to your requirements, or you can move their position on the screen. You only perform the simulation once at the start, for example, and therefore you can hide this area once edited.
