Executing Collective Availability Checks

Use

You use this procedure to carry out availability checks for several networks at once, to see if all the necessary components are available.

Collective availability checks are executed in the Project Information System from the enhanced individual overview for networks.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation path Information Systems Next navigation step Project System Next navigation step Structures Next navigation step EnhancedIndividual Overviews Next navigation step Networks End of the navigation path .

    Enter a PS info profile, if necessary. The initial screen for the information system appears.

  2. Enter the selection criteria and choose Execute . You can enter the required networks directly, or select them via projects or WBS elements.

    The individual overview for networks appears.

  3. Choose to select all networks, or expand the structure and use CTRL to select individual networks or SHIFT to select blocks of networks.

  4. Choose Start of the navigation path Extras / Environment Next navigation step Availability Next navigation step Check Availability End of the navigation path .

    The Collective Availability Check dialog screen appears. The Reset Availability Data and Execute Availability Check indicators are set as defaults. If you only want to reset the availability data, for example, cancel the second indicator. By choosing Mode you go to another window in which you can determine what type of check is carried out and which messages the system should write in the log.

  5. Choose with the quick info text Check Availability .

Result

The system executes the availability check for the selected networks and saves the dates it determines automatically. You can call the log for the availability check by choosing Start of the navigation path Extras / Environment Next navigation step Availability Next navigation step Log Available Material.
