Procedure documentationDefining Default Values for Clearing

For clearing-relevant financial transactions (for which you have set the Central Clearing Optional clearing option in Customizing for external accounts in the activity Activate Central Clearing), you can change or add to the central clearing option (on the basis of company code, product type, transaction type, counterparty, and transaction currency) and define an external account as the default value. When a clearing-relevant financial transaction is created, the settings that you make are entered automatically as the clearing account in the Administration tab page in the Clearing area.

The default value can be overwritten in the financial transaction.

Procedure

  1. Change the data displayed or choose New Entries.

  2. Choose the company code, the product type, the transaction type, the counterparty, and/or the transaction currency and assign the desired clearing option and/or clearing account.

  3. Save your entries.

Example

In Customizing for external accounts in the activity Activate Central Clearing, you have set the central clearing option Central Clearing Optional in company code 0001 for product type SWAP.
