You can use the archiving object HR: Electronic Data Exchange (HRCDEED) to destroy data on the electronic exchange of data. This data is to be regarded as personal data in terms of data privacy. Therefore, for data privacy reasons, it may be necessary to destroy this data after a defined retention period has been reached.

This archiving object, which is divided into archiving subobjects, destroys data from the following infotype:

The archiving object also destroys dependent data. To display a complete overview of the relevant database tables, choose DB Tables in archive administration (transaction SARA).

When data is destroyed successfully, the system generates a destruction log (infotype 0283) and modifies the payroll status (infotype 0003).

Prerequisites

You are familiar with the basics of data destruction and have made the following settings:

  • You have activated Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).

  • You are familiar with the functions for ILM policies and rules and have defined the retention rules for the archiving object.
