Help for SAP Data Hub Cockpit

System Status

The General Overview area of the SAP Data Hub landing page provides a quick visual summary and status of the landscape, including systems, connections, and zones. It also provides a summary of the modeling objects that have been created in the SAP Data Hub modeling tool.

Landscape Status

In the SAP Data Hub cockpit, you can manage the zones and systems in your landscape.

A zone is a logical grouping of a systems in a distributed data landscape shared for a specific use case. A system represents a physical environment, which is treated as one communication endpoint for SAP Data Hub tasks.

The Landscape Status tile provides summary information about the zones and systems defined in the landscape. It displays the total number of zones and systems and their connectivity status. The chart indicates the status of the zones and systems:
  • Green: Connected
  • Red: Disconnected
  • Grey: Unknown (Systems other than adapter-based systems and SAP BW systems do not provide connectivity information.)
Clicking this tile opens the Landscape Management page.

Distributed Runtime

In the SAP Data Hub cockpit, you can manage the connections in your landscape. A connection is a technical access point to a system via Data Hub Agent. A system may have multiple connections, but a connection is always related to a system within a zone.

The Distributed Runtime tile shows the total number of connections created for all of the systems configured in Landscape Management.

Clicking this tile opens the Connection Management view of Landscape Management.

Remote Scenarios

In the SAP Data Hub cockpit, you can manage the zones in your landscape. A zone is a logical grouping of a systems in a distributed data landscape shared for a specific use case.

For example, System A, System B and System C are in a sandbox zone, and System X, System Y and System Z are in a production zone. Logic groupings of systems allow an administrator to view how the systems are deployed and what their usages and responsibilities are. A system can also not be associated with any zones; in this case, it is associated with the "default" zone. A system can only be associated with one zone.

The Remote Scenarios tile displays the total number of zones that have been created to group systems into different landscapes.

Clicking this tile opens the Manage Zones view of Landscape Management.

Modeling

The SAP Data Hub Modeling tool, a component of SAP Data Hub, helps graphically model different design-time objects that are necessary to execute a task workflow.

The Modeling tile provides statistical information about design-time objects that have been created in the SAP Data Hub Modeling tool. This includes the total number of projects, data sets, destinations, tasks and task workflows. It also provides a breakdown of the status for the objects, and indicates whether they are active or inactive.

Clicking this tile opens the SAP Data Hub Modeling tool in a new browser.
