Defining Valuation Methods

Use

You define valuation methods for the delivered Valuation Procedure in Line With German Commercial Code and IAS . These valuation procedures are based on valuation method 09 of the Results Analysis.

You must configure exactly the same basic settings as described below in Procedure .

Procedure

  1. In Customizing for Project System under Start of the navigation path Revenues and Earnings Next navigation step Automatic and Periodic Allocations Next navigation step Results Analysis Next navigation step Edit Results Analysis Keys and Version Next navigation step Define Valuation Methods for Results Analysis Versions. End of the navigation path

  2. Create a new valuation method.

  3. Enter the controlling area, the results analysis version and the results analysis key.

    For both valuation procedures use the same results analysis key.

  4. Specify results analysis method 09 .

    Note Note

    The valuation procedure in line with the German Commercial Code and the IAS is based on valuation method 09 of the Results Analysis. With this method only a few key figures are transferred during valuation. This method is needed above all for reading the input data.

  5. Save your input.

  6. Select Expert Mode .

    Note Note

    To configure the valuation method for the valuation of semi-finished constructions, you must also set different key figures. It is only possible to set these key figures in expert mode.

  7. Highlight the items with RELEASED status.

  8. Choose with the quick info Detail .

  9. Change the following key figures for status RELEASED:

    Valuation basis

    O (not: 0)

    The valuation basis determines how the planning data is calculated.

    O means planning data for Controlling (CO) is used.

    Project structure

    T

    The project structure key figure determines how the data for individual WBS elements is handled in the results analysis.

    Commitment

    G

    Commitment G means down payment should be read for the results analysis.

    The read down payments can be changed using BAdI /SAPPCE/PNV03. For more information, see SAP Enhancements .

    Final key figure

    D

    D means that for a valuation run only data relevant to the results analysis period is updated. Valuation data already updated from an earlier valuation run is deleted.

    Plan version

    0

    If necessary enter another plan version, from which the remaining plan and the potential individual risks are read.

  10. Select the next entry and change the following key figures for RLSD status:

    Data is only updated up until the results analysis period. Valuation data already updated from an earlier valuation run is deleted.
