Company Car

Use

In Flexible Benefits for Great Britain (GB FlexBens), the company car plan enables eligible employees to choose a company car, or to renew their existing car selection.

If permitted, eligible employees may opt out of the company car plan, and instead select a car allowance. In this situation, the HR Benefits Administrator does not need to create an infotype Company Car (0442) record.

Integration

The company car plan is integrated with infotype Company Car (0442) and infotype Miscellaneous Plans (0377). Once an infotype 0442 record is created for a new company car, the infotype 0377 record must also be created in order to enrol the company car and to have this reflected in the employee’s Flexible Benefits package itself.

In the Flexible Benefits system, to integrate with the Company Car infotype (0442), you must configure an identifier COMP (company car) in Customising, under Start of the navigation path BenefitsAdministration Next navigation step Plans Next navigation step Company CarPlans Next navigation step Specify Special Option for Company Car (FLEX). End of the navigation path

Prerequisites

Initially, the Benefits Administration framework is created in Customising, under: Start of the navigation path BenefitsAdministration Next navigation step Basic Settings End of the navigation path and Start of the navigation path BenefitsAdministration Next navigation step Flexible Administration End of the navigation path .

Subsequently, you must create the company car plan in the Customising steps under: Benefits Administration -> Plans -> Company Car Plans .

Features

A separate enrolment process is required when employees enrol in a company car Flexible Benefits plan. This process will differ depending on whether:

  • An employee is enroling in the company car plan for the first time, or
  • An employee has previously enroled in a car plan and now wishes to select a subsequent car.
